Behind The Scenes

Inside navabi’s blogger event

A handful of our favourite bloggers came together
for an exclusive first look at the navabi autumn/winter collection.

Editor: Natasha Davis

Take a look inside the exclusive event that brought our favourite online fashionistas to London for the ultimate navabi collection experience. The bloggers were given a special presentation from our Head of Buying and Head of Design, as well as a chance to try on a variety of pieces from the collection.

As the sun set over the city, our glamorous bloggers began to arrive at the WGSN building for an evening of fun and fashion. They were greeted by the navabi team, and given a chance to mingle with their fellow fashionistas over glasses of bubbly and a spread of delicious tapas including: mouthwatering Spanish meatballs, Iberian chorizo and the biggest stuffed olives we’ve ever seen from Mas Q Menos. Many of the bloggers are friends on and offline, so this was a fun way for them to spend the evening shopping and chatting about the navabi collection.

Once everyone had a chance to settle in, our Head of Design, Christine Shaw, and our Head of Buying, Cheryl Coucher presented the collection to the ladies. Using their mood boards and samples, Christine and Cheryl explained the genesis of the collection. From making the right fabric choices, to selecting the perfect atelier to bring the designs to life. They do everything with passion and precision.

As the presentation wrapped up, they passed around a few of the pieces so that the bloggers could get to grips with the collection. While they passed the boucle jacket around the room, it was clear that this piece was going to be a huge hit.

This quickly turned into a full on trying on session, followed by everyone whipping out their phones to Instagram their favourite looks.

The Bloggers’ Top Picks

Chloe Elliott

Favourite Pick:

Wool bonded lace coat

As soon as I put this coat on, I didn’t want to take it off. In fact, I was a bit reluctant to let anyone else try it on because it’s my dream coat.

Chloe Pierre

Favourite Pick:

Double breasted asymmetric coat

I absolutely love every piece of this collection and would happily do a major swap with my current wardrobe. What I love most is the gorgeous use of fabrics and the varied colour palette, which from someone who tends to wear a lot of black, is saying something.

Danielle Vanier

Favourite Pick:

Fabric blend cocoon coat

This cocoon coat is one of my favourite pieces from the collection.
